The Senior Girls team came home from Abbotstown yesterday (Thursday 17th May) afternoon as Fingal League 2018 Division 2 winners. They made their school, families, peers and teachers extremely proud. They overcame an excellent side, Rolestown National School who made the girls battle hard for their win.
The first half was very well matched with both teams putting pressure on each others’ goal lines. The Scoil Mhuire girls fought hard to narrow the scoreline gap and at the half time whistle; the score registered was Scoil Mhuire 1-2 Rolestown N.S. 1-5.
The girls hungry for a victory flew alongside the wind in the second half immediately getting a goal and equalising with Rolestown. This goal was the turning point in the game and the girls confidently displayed their skill and teamwork totting up goals and points onto the scoreboard until the final whistle blew.
