Rainbows Ireland

Rainbows is a dedicated free service for children and young people.

The Rainbows programme supports children and young people affected by loss because of bereavement, separation or divorce. The service is available in local communities throughout Ireland. The service is grant-aided by Tusla.

A small number of teachers in Scoil Mhuire are trained and the school is a Rainbows Ireland Centre. This service is available for 2nd to 6th Class students in Scoil Mhuire. A typical group would consist of a minimum of 4 (max 8) children with 2 Teacher Facilitators. Depending on the numbers, bereavement and separation/divorce groups run separately. They are also grouped according to age and take place after school.
