Our school will celebrate a love of books with various events on Tuesday April 17th.
On this day 4th-6th class will have the exciting opportunity to have ‘An Audience with John Boyne’ author of ‘The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas’ and ‘The Boy At the Top of the mountain’.
To coincide with this event a short story competition will be run for any budding writers in 3rd-6th class and the winners will be judged by our own local contemporary author, Claire Kilroy. The theme is ‘open’ so you can write about anything. Please give your entries to your class teacher before Thursday April 12th so that we can announce the winners on April 17th.
