Event Navigation
Diversity Week will take place from Monday 7th April to Thursday 10th April.
During Diversity Week we aim to spread awareness of uniqueness and diversity, and have lots of fun in the process.
The theme for each day is as follows:
Monday: ‘I Am Unique’. We celebrate our individuality and uniqueness. Children are invited to style or colour their hair for our ‘Crazy Hair Day’.
Tuesday: ‘Our Different Abilities’. We celebrate neurodiversity and acceptance of all abilities. Children are invited to wear coloured socks on this day to represent all abilities.
Wednesday: ‘Our varied Religions and Cultures’. Children may bring in something that symbolises their unique religion or culture.
Thursday: International Day – We celebrate our heritage, and our native food, dress and language. Children are invited to bring in food from their native country or their family’s country and share them with their class. If any parents would like to make or present something (traditional dish, story, song in native tongue or other) they can get in touch with their child’s class teacher. Children are invited to wear clothing that represents their country or county on this day.
All of the themed days are optional for children.
