Firstly, I’d like to say a huge thank you to all the parents who took the time out of their day to head across to the south side of the city for the match.
Unfortunately we came out on the wrong side of an enthralling encounter which was action packed from start to finish, as was reflected on the score line 7-17 to 7-10. Having gifted our opponents the first 3 goals , Howth Primary School battled bravely to the end but unfortunately the headstart we afforded GS Lios na nOg left our team just short in the end.
They may well have been beaten by the eventual competition victors today. At the level our school teams play at the margins between defeat and victory are so fine. I’ve no doubt today’s game will help improve our team on the playing field as well as off it.
A special mention to Kevin Sajan who was outstanding today for his team.
Well done again today boys, the football was top class. Training resumes again next Tuesday.
