Young Musicians’ Competition

Well done to the children who took part in the Young Musicians’ Competition in Sutton Park School, on Friday, May 12th, 2023. They were presented with a trophy at the end of the evening prize winners concert. Professor Gerard Gillen (former Head of Music at Maynooth University and possibly the most renowned organist in the country) was the adjudicator and had very kind words to say about the children.

Friendship Week October 3rd to 10th
This week we celebrated the friendships in our school. Students took part in events and activities that promoted caring relationships and we were reminded how we can be a good friend.
Thank you:

The school would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Maria and Paul McGregor, who have worked as coordinators and liaisons with the Music Makes Magic Programme since it’s launch in January 2013.
Paul and Maria depart us having left the programme in an impressive and admirable position, due in part to their hard work and deication to the pupils that attend violin lessons in school and the pupils and families who are involved in the after school programmes.
Go raibh maith agaibh agus Ádh Mór.

Scoil Mhuire, Howth Primary School
We are situated in the heart of Howth village, above the busy fishing harbour and marina. Our school is a village school in the best sense of the terms, serving and being supported by the local community. There are playing fields and an all purpose Astro Turf pitch located beside the school for outdoor sports and physical education classes.
Howth’s beautiful natural environment is exploited to the full by the teachers for nature classes, walks, projects, etc.
The school population is growing and is blessed with a wonderful community of students.
